General Description

The function of education is to teach to think intensively and critically. Intelligence plus character is the goal of true education.Every journey starts with firm determination to reach heights. The journey to scale heights requires unflinching grit and relentless efforts. With this firm determination ACT had embarked on a journey in the year 2014 - 15 by setting up Department of Commerce with two UG programmes:

1. B.Com. Computer Application

2. B.Com. Finance

The year 2017 is remarked to be a milestone in the history of the Department of Commerce. With the initiation of BBA programme with finance , the Department of Commerce has been renamed as the Department of Commerce and Management. The first BBA (Finance) batch was started in the month of June 2017.

In the year 2019 our Department got upgraded to be a Post Graduate Department of Commerce and Management Studies. We commenced our first PG batch (M.Com. Finance) in the month of August 2019.

Our aim is to form the youth with competence, commitments and compassion. We aspire to develop quality of brotherhood and improve the quality of life of each student by catering to his requirements. Education is not merely imparting knowledge rather than equipping the students with most suitable skills and professional competence.The department has adequate qualified, experienced and competent faculties who are dedicated to academic and overall development of the student community.

Our teaching highlights: learner centric, ICT enabled classes, continuous assessment, systematic evaluation remedial classes, mentoring and Tutorship.

Objectives

The main purpose of commerce education is to provide knowledge about commerce and to prepare the students for vocational competency including training and development of skill.

To develop interest towards Commerce.

To prepare for technical profession such as banker, cashier accountant etc.
To make familiarize latest information related with commerce.
To find out challenges in the commerce education sector.
